We are seeking experienced and visionary professionals to lead our thematic councils focused on MSME, Women Empowerment, and Agriculture Development. The Council Head will be responsible for strategic leadership, program implementation, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the social impact sector with deep understanding of government policies, schemes, and sectoral challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Council Management:
1. Lead the vision, direction, and execution of the council’s strategic goals.
2. Develop council-specific annual plans aligned with organizational objectives.
3. Build and lead high-performing teams under each council. - Policy Expertise & Advocacy:
1. Monitor, analyze, and interpret relevant government schemes, policies, and regulations.
2. Represent the organization in policy forums, government meetings, and public consultations.
3. Draft policy papers, position notes, and recommendations for stakeholders. - Program Development & Implementation:
1. Design and oversee programs and interventions addressing the needs of MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, and farmers.
2. Collaborate with partner organizations, state departments, and ministries for effective program rollouts.
3. Track and evaluate the impact of programs and adjust strategies accordingly. - Stakeholder & Government Engagement:
1. Build partnerships with central and state government bodies, NGOs, industry associations, and academic institutions.
2. Act as the primary liaison between the organization and relevant government departments.
3. Facilitate workshops, roundtables, and dialogues with key sectoral stakeholders. - Research & Knowledge Management:
1. Drive research and data-driven initiatives to identify sectoral gaps and solutions.
2. Publish periodic reports, case studies, and success stories for internal and external dissemination. - Fundraising & Resource Mobilization:
1. Identify funding opportunities from CSR, donor agencies, and government grants.
2. Develop concept notes and proposals in collaboration with the resource mobilization team.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in social impact or development sector roles.
- Proven experience in program leadership, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated success in implementing large-scale initiatives and managing advisory councils.
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Location: Bengaluru
- Skills & Knowledge:
1. Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
2. Deep domain knowledge in MSME, Women Development, and Agriculture sectors.
3. Strong grasp of central/state government schemes (e.g., PMEGP, PMFME, NRLM, PMKSY, etc.).
4. Proven experience in engaging with policymakers and implementing large-scale initiatives. - Preferred Attributes:
